The Seiser Alm/Alpe di Siusi is the highest and largest mountain pastures
in Europe with its 52 km² of pasture, fields and woods surrounded
by stately rocks. Come and discover this piece of paradise while walking
the numerous paths or while on tour by mountain-bike down the slopes
or hang-gliding, riding or nordic walking through the endless meadows
and stopping to admire the enchanting scenery of the Dolomites; and
not forgetting the possibility of swimming in these glorious surroundings.
There are about 365 alpine refuges, rest stops, and refreshments facilities
in the Seiser Alm/Alpe di Siusi region which is regarded as one of the
most fabulous landscapes in the Dolomites. In many of them, you can
still stop and refresh yourself during a hot summer day.
During the summer and early autumn you can take part to guided mountain
tours in the natural parks of South Tyrol or to the alpine huts thus
experiencing nature up close, enjoying the health-giving benefits of
fresh air and outdoor activity, and appreciating the unique panorama.
